New Documentary Compares Elvis' Journey With the Rise & Fall of the American Dream

WDCB's Gary Zidek talks to filmmaker Eugene Jarecki about his new documentary THE KING.

Jarecki drives a 1963 Rolls-Royce (that once belonged to Elvis) on a musical road trip across America, from Tupelo to New York to the west coast.

Eugene Jarecki, director of THE KING

"I was always making a movie that was going to be a very cutting-edge, contemporary application of Elvis' story to the American condition today." - Eugene Jarecki

THE KING will make its Chicago premiere Sunday, April 8 at the Davis Theater on the final night of the DOC 10 Film Festival. The annual doc-centric fest starts on April 5, check out the complete festival schedule here.
