Doc10 is bringing back the VR-RV
The first of its kind in VR exhibits, the VR-RV immerses festival-goers in the latest ventures in virtual reality. This year’s VR program will be headlined by Oscar-winning director Roger Ross Williams’ TRAVELING WHILE BLACK, a 20-minute immersive experience about the history of restrictions of movement for Black Americans, and the creation of safe spaces in their communities. As well as, THE ANTHROPOCENE PROJECT, which combines documentary storytelling with responsive gigapixel essays, 360 film and 3D modelling to fully immerse you in these photographic worlds, revealing what they signify to both the history and the future of human civilization, and its effect on the planet. And finally, NOTES ON BLINDNESS, an immersive project based on John’s sensory and psychological experience of blindness.
